Purpose Activities

Join the Academy Bay team in the yearly International Clean Up Day organized in coordination with the Galapagos National Park, removing marine debris from coastlines and underwater at sites like Itabaca Canal.

Divers and non-divers; local community and visitors.
Equipment provided: Mesh Bags, Gloves, Boat Transport

Previous events removed thousands of kilos of debris with the help of hundreds of volunteers.

How to Join:

Simply arrive at the dive center ahead of the scheduled event.

  1. Go to the Academy Bay Diving main desk on Charles Darwin Avenue.
  2. Arrive ahead of the announced Clean Up Day.
  3. Ask for the cleanup volunteer group.

Fun Diving

Daily boat trips to Galapagos dive sites such as North Seymour, Gordon Rocks, and Floreana using custom 12-passenger boats, with options for both day trips and liveaboards.

Training Courses

Full PADI range from beginner Open Water to professional level, using experienced guides and in-water support on every dive.

Accommodation

Assistance with booking partner hotels within walking distance; no dedicated on-site resort but central location in Puerto Ayora.
