Purpose Activities

Join coral fragment transplantation, maintenance of artificial reefs, and assist with periodic monitoring surveys in partnership with the Nuansa Pulau community. Participants help restore degraded areas and contribute observational data needed for ongoing scientific projects.

Open to all divers and trainees during fieldwork weeks; experience with buoyancy and basic diving skills expected.
Required: Open Water certification

Equipment provided: Tanks, Weights, Survey Materials

Opportunities vary seasonally and are usually integrated into the 2-week fieldwork block of select training programs.

How to Join:

Simply arrive at the dive center during scheduled fieldwork blocks.

  1. Go to the main desk at Bali Diving Academy Nusa Lembongan.
  2. Arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time for community field activities.
  3. Ask for the marine biology or coral restoration field leader.

Additional Offerings

Fun Diving

Boat diving and drift dives at Nusa Lembongan, Penida, and other Bali sites, including highlights like Manta Point and local reef exploration.

Training Courses

Full PADI curriculum from beginner to Instructor level, with advanced training in marine biology, scientific diving, and conservation leadership using on-site facilities and expert staff.

Accommodation

Optional add-on with private rooms and air conditioning, located near the dive shop for easy access to all training and activities.
