A conservation authority managing Raja Ampat’s protected areas through direct action, research, and local capacity-building to maintain ecosystem health and local stewardship.
Participate in organized marine and coastal cleanup events in Dampier Strait and nearby islands, directly removing trash and plastic waste from reefs and beaches alongside staff and local residents.
Help protect fragile marine habitats; actions scheduled with community and authority announcements.
How to Join:
Simply arrive at the designated site on event day.
General diving access is by arrangement and typically limited to responsible tourism permitted through local operators, focusing on the reefs of Dampier Strait and surrounding MPAs.
Occasional professional and eco-certifications (SSI Dive Guide, Rescue, Divemaster) are provided primarily for local capacity-building, not as general public courses.
No accommodation is offered directly; visiting divers and researchers use local Waisai guesthouses or partner homestays nearby.
