About This Program

Dive Hightide Watersports collaborates with the Barbados Sea Turtle Project and includes guests and marine biologists in year-round hawksbill turtle conservation efforts.

Purpose Activities

Assisting marine biologists and the Barbados Sea Turtle Project staff in support of hawksbill turtle monitoring and survival projects. Activities may include turtle observation, data collection, and local outreach as part of the year-round conservation program.

Open to divers and non-divers; anyone interested in helping with hawksbill turtle conservation.

This activity is part of the PADI Project Aware initiative. Non-divers can join as well.

How to Join:

Simply arrive at the shop on scheduled conservation days.

  1. Go to the Dive Hightide front desk at Coral Reef Club.
  2. Arrive 15 mins early for Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday sessions.
  3. Ask for the Sea Turtle Project crew.

Additional Offerings

Fun Diving

Daily boat trips to the west coast of Barbados including local reefs and wrecks, with free equipment setup and fresh-water rinse after each dive.

Training Courses

Full PADI range from children's Bubblemaker to advanced specialties, with both pool and ocean training options.

Accommodation

Guests can stay at the on-site Coral Reef Club for convenient access, with several 4-5 star hotel partners nearby.
