Purpose Activities

Join a team of divers and staff for a hands-on underwater cleanup beneath the Santa Monica Pier as part of an annual community and coastal restoration event.

Certified divers with experience in California waters; must be comfortable with pier conditions.
Required: Open Water certification
Required: Full scuba kit
Equipment provided: Tanks, Weights

Participants often work in small teams and debris is sorted for local research.

How to Join:

Simply arrive at the Santa Monica Pier cleanup check-in area.

  1. Go to the Santa Monica Pier on event morning.
  2. Look for the Eco Dive Center and cleanup organizer tent.
  3. Check in by 07:45 with your certification and gear.
  4. Join the dive briefing and cleanup crew.

Fun Diving

Daily boat trips to Channel Islands (Catalina, Anacapa, Santa Cruz) and local kelp forests, plus shore dives at Redondo Beach and vetted local beach dive sites.

Training Courses

PADI, SDI and TDI courses from beginner through technical and instructor level, with a training pool and specialty skills in local environments.

Accommodation
