Purpose Activities

Be part of hands-on shark and marine life monitoring during Shark Week Palau. You’ll collect data on shark sightings, behaviors, and abundance—which is then shared with leading universities and marine scientists to aid real conservation projects.

All certified divers; open to ages 12+; events during Shark Week
Required: Open Water certification
Equipment provided: Tanks, Weights, Data Sheets, Expert Guidance

Introduces participants to marine science methods; data is used in peer-reviewed research.

How to Join:

Simply arrive at the dive center on Shark Week Day 1 for orientation.

  1. Go to Fish 'n Fins front desk at the start of Shark Week.
  2. Arrive at the designated start time (provided in your package).
  3. Check in with the Citizen Science team for instructions and gear.

Training Courses
