About This Program
A leading Palau dive center advancing shark research, citizen science, and community education while offering flagship marine events like Shark Week and supporting landmark conservation initiatives.
Purpose Activities
Be part of hands-on shark and marine life monitoring during Shark Week Palau. You’ll collect data on shark sightings, behaviors, and abundance—which is then shared with leading universities and marine scientists to aid real conservation projects.
Introduces participants to marine science methods; data is used in peer-reviewed research.
How to Join:
Simply arrive at the dive center on Shark Week Day 1 for orientation.
- Go to Fish 'n Fins front desk at the start of Shark Week.
- Arrive at the designated start time (provided in your package).
- Check in with the Citizen Science team for instructions and gear.

Fun Diving
Scheduled boat diving to Palau’s top shark and reef sites, plus unique aggregation and spawning dives during select periods, guided by experienced local experts.
Training Courses
All levels of PADI training, including specialty, advanced, and professional courses up to Instructor, with focus on hands-on skills and real marine conservation practice.
