A genuine hub for manta ray research and conservation, supporting hands-on science, citizen participation, and education through international partnerships.
Purpose Activities
Contribute to manta ray research by submitting belly-shot photos of mantas you encounter while diving or snorkeling in Yap. These images support ongoing partnerships with Manta Trust and global scientists to track individual mantas and their behavior.
Photos and sighting details help with long-term scientific studies. No sign-up needed.
How to Join:
Email your photos and sighting info.
- Capture a belly photo of any manta ray during your dive or snorkel.
- Email your images and sighting details to manta-id@mantaray.com.
- You will be contacted if your sighting supports the database or ongoing research.

Fun Diving
Daily trips explore Yap's famous manta cleaning stations, blue water walls, and shark sites, with access to crowd-free local reefs and custom dive boats.
Training Courses
SSI and PADI certified training from beginner through Divemaster, plus specialties in manta, shark, and marine ecology, all delivered with on-site pool and modern classroom facilities.
Accommodation
Individually themed, on-site resort rooms with an infinity pool, right next to the dive center and restaurant on the harbor.
