Purpose Activities

Team up with resort guides and local partners to remove abandoned fishing nets from reefs around Raja Ampat. These urgent, practical actions help protect coral and marine life and may occur following reported incidents.

Divers staying at Papua Diving Resorts and available local partners.
Required: Open Water certification
Required: Good buoyancy control
Equipment provided: Tanks, Weights, Dive Knives

Subject to need and weather conditions. Participation depends on timing of incidents.

How to Join:

Simply arrive and express interest to staff.

  1. Go to the dive shop main desk.
  2. Ask staff if a net removal effort is scheduled or anticipated.
  3. If yes, sign up and follow instructor guidance during the dive briefing.

Daily guided boat dives visit Raja Ampat’s top sites, like Blue Magic and Cape Kri, plus unguided shore diving on their vibrant house reef.

Training Courses

Full PADI range from beginner to Divemaster, with all instruction in small groups and use of a dedicated on-site training pool.
