About This Program
A multi-resort dive operation supporting shark conservation, coral reef partnership initiatives, and hands-on educational outreach across locations in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
Purpose Activities
Help collect vital shark and ray sightings for global marine science by logging all observed species on dives during the annual event week in late July. Data supports shark distribution research with Shark Trust.
Submit your sightings to the Shark Trust app or logbook; guidance provided at check-in.
How to Join:
Simply arrive at the dive center during event week.
- Go to any participating Pro Dive International desk.
- Let staff know you want to join Shark Snapshot dives.
- Receive brief info and log instructions on the day of your dive.

Fun Diving
Daily reef, wreck and cenote dives offered at multiple sites including Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Cancun, and Dominican Republic, with boat and shore options.
Training Courses
Comprehensive PADI training from Discover Scuba to instructor levels and technical courses, with on-site pools and direct ocean practice.
Accommodation
On-site or partner resort accommodations available at most Pro Dive locations in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
