Purpose Activities

Help protect Mabul Island by joining the cleanup crew to remove plastic, trash, and marine debris from the beach and reefs. All equipment provided. Data collected supports local and international marine debris research.

Open to all resort guests and volunteers; suitable for all ages.
Equipment provided: Gloves, Garbage Bags, Tongs

This is a direct way for anyone staying at the resort to get involved in on-the-ground conservation.

How to Join:

Simply arrive at the location.

  1. Go to the dive shop main desk at Mabul Beach Resort.
  2. Arrive 15 minutes early on Saturday afternoon.
  3. Ask for the cleanup crew and they will direct you to the starting point.

Additional Offerings

Fun Diving

Daily boat trips to Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai, and nearby islands, with regular encounters of turtles, sharks, and schools of fish; guides know where to find unique species like bumphead parrotfish.

Training Courses

Full PADI curriculum from Open Water to Instructor, with monthly Divemaster programs and additional conservation workshops, all run from on-site facilities with their own pool and easy access to ocean dives.

Accommodation

On-site full-board dorms and private rooms at Mabul Beach Resort, just a short walk from the jetty and dive boats.
