A Green Fins Gold-certified eco-dive center focused on hands-on coral restoration, lionfish management, and comprehensive marine conservation internships in Bayahibe.

Purpose Activities

This program combines the full PADI Divemaster course with real hands-on marine conservation activities, including coral gardening, guiding scientific dives, and participating in local research and education efforts. You'll work alongside the Slow Dive team over 1-5 months, gaining practical conservation experience as you advance your pro training.

Rescue Diver or CMAS 2* and above; 40+ dives; motivated to help with conservation.
Required: Rescue Diver or CMAS 2* certificate or equivalent
Required: Minimum 40 logged dives
Required: Own dive computer
Equipment provided: Tanks, Weights, Full Diving Equipment

Half-day and full-day boat trips to Bayahibe’s best sites, including Peñon Reef and Saona Island, with groups capped at 4 divers per guide for a personalized experience.

Training Courses

PADI training from beginner to Divemaster, with a focus on conservation, small groups, and sessions in ocean and pool.

Accommodation

Casa Chihuahua offers an on-site B&B room rental in a renovated Dominican house, right next to the dive center.
