Purpose Activities

Many homestays clean their beaches daily and welcome guests and travelers to help collect washed up plastic and debris. Nearly all cleanup efforts are led and joined by locals working at the homestays.

  2. Join the team at the scheduled time or whenever cleaning is happening.
  3. Collect beach and shoreline debris, and follow homestay guidance for safe disposal.

Additional Offerings

Fun Diving

Homestays connect you with local guides and nearby village dive operators for exploration of pristine reefs and nearby island dive sites, often on a request basis.

Training Courses

Some homestays cooperate with local dive guides for basic courses or snorkel skills, but professional certifications must be arranged separately at dedicated dive shops.

Accommodation

Simple, family-run beach bungalows and homestays—often right on the sand—supported by a network that directly benefits local Papuan families.
